MYC Wellness Center Amenities & Membership

As part of our ongoing efforts to grow and enhance our wellness offerings, we want to let you know that the Downtown Wellness Center and the gyms supported by Employee Health Benefits will be closing permanently.  The Downtown Wellness Center will close at the end of the business day on December 31, 2025. 
 
Membership Guidelines
  • Cost - There is no fee to use the YourChoice Wellness Center.
  • Eligibility -  Manatee County Goverment employees and adult members enrolled in the YourChoice Health Plan are eligible to use the Fitness Center.
  • Dependent Eligibility - You must be 18 years of age or older to have full use of the Fitness Center.  Dependents 14 - 17 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) YourChoice Health Plan Member.  No one under the age of 14 is permitted unless utilizing LAMP Services.
  • How to Sign Up - Complete the MYC Wellness Center & Program Liability Waiver. Upon submission of the waiver, participants will have access granted to their employee badge or may be given an access card. To check the status of your access card or for any other questions contact Marcia Polese at 941-748-4501 x3969 or email marcia.polese@mymanatee.org.
  • Liability waivers are required to be updated annually to maintain Wellness Center Access.  To update your access, fill out the liability waiver.  Access is not automatic.  Your will receive a confirmation once access is updated.
Manatee YourChoice Wellness Center - Downtown
This waiver will give you access to the main Wellness Center entrance and the LAMP Behavioral Health entrance.  Access is not automatic after filling out the waiver.  Please allow up to 5 business days for access.   A confirmation email will be sent to the email you provide when registering.

Lost cards 
  • There is a $5.00 replacement charge for lost cards.  Here are the instructions to replace your card:
    • Fill out the replacement card form
    • Take a printed copy of the replacement card form to the 3rd floor cashier and pay the $5.00 replacement fee via cash or cc.
    • Email marcia.polese@mymanatee.org or call (941) 748-4501, x3969 to drop off your receipt of payment and schedule a time to pick up your card.

Minor Waiver/Downtown Fitness Center

This waiver grants access to minors covered untder the YourChoice Health Plan age 14-17 to access the YourChoice Fitness Center, including weight room/cardio equipment and/or group fitness classes, when a guardian is present.
