Eligibility -  Manatee County Government Employees and members enrolled in the YourChoice Health Plan are eligible to use this Fitness Center.
 
Manatee YourChoice Wellness Center - Downtown

This waiver will give you access to the main Wellness Center entrance and the LAMP Behavioral Health entrance.

The MYC Wellness Center offers a variety of equipment and programs for all fitness levels. It is a 6000 square foot facility offering resistance and cardiovascular training ideal for busy people; including TRX suspension training, Group Fitness classes and Personal Training. A Full Time Fitness Specialist is on site for orientations, individual and group training.

Membership
  • Cost - There is no fee to use the YourChoice Fitness Center.
  • Eligibility -  Members enrolled in the YourChoice Health Plan and employees are eligible to use the Fitness Center.
  • Dependents - You must be 18 years of age or older to have full use of the Fitness Center.  Dependents 14 - 17 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) YourChoice Health Plan Member. 
  • How to Sign Up - Complete the MYC Wellness Center & Program Liability Waiver. Upon submission of the waiver, participants will be given an access card for the Fitness Center. To check the status of your access card, or for any other questions regarding Fitness Center membership/services contact the Fitness Center at 941-748-4501 x3969 or email mpolese@manateeyourchoice.com.
  • Liability waivers are required to be updated annually to maintain Fitness Center Access.  Communication will come to the email you provide when filling out the waiver.
Equipment/Amenities

The Fitness Center has a variety of cardiovascular training equipment such as treadmills, elliptical machines and bikes. We also offer

  • TRX Suspension Trainers for total body strengthening
  • BOSU Balance trainers and stability balls
  • Dumbbells up to 100 lbs with free weight benches
  • Cable machines with numerous attachments
  • A variety of cardio equipment
  • Life Fitness strength circuit machines
  • 4 Showers
  • Lockers and changing rooms
  • Group Fitness Classes
  • Personal Trainers
Worksite Fitness Centers

Manatee YourChoice also manages fitness centers at certain worksites, including the Public Safety center, Transit, and Utilities. These fitness centers have different equipment and membership requirements, and require separate registration. 

  • Public Safety Center - Open to BCC Manatee County Government Employees.  Spouses and Dependents 18+ on the YourChoice Health Plan are eligible, however must be accompanied by the Employee.
  • Transit - Open to Transit/Transit Fleet Personnel Only
  • Utilities - This location is being relocated and the Fitness Center is closed at this time.  Open to BCC employees for worksite classes only.

Minor Waiver/Downtown Fitness Center

This waiver grants access to minors covered untder the YourChoice Health Plan age 14-17 to access the YourChoice Fitness Center, including weight room/cardio equipment and/or group fitness classes, when a guardian is present.

A Liability Waiver must be on file in order to gain access to the fitness center and/or utilize group fitness, personal training, etc. For questions regarding this form, please contact the YourChoice Fitness Center at 941.748.4501 x3979.

Utilities Fitness Center

The Utilities Fitness Center is being relocated and is currently closed.  This Liability Waiver must be on file in order to utilize the work-site group fitness classes and is for Employees only at this time. For questions regarding this form, please contact the YourChoice Fitness Center at 941.748.4501 x3979.
