Mental Wellness

Mental wellness is a critical component of a healthy and productive workplace. When employees feel supported, respected, and psychologically safe, they are more likely to stay engaged, collaborate effectively, and perform at their best. Prioritizing mental wellness helps reduce burnout, absenteeism, and turnover, while fostering a positive organizational culture built on trust and resilience. Workplaces that invest in mental health resources, encourage open communication, and promote work–life balance not only enhance individual satisfaction but also strengthen overall business performance.

Members of the Manatee YourChoice Medical Plan have two mental health counseling options -- LAMP (Lifestyle Assistance Modification Program) and Samaritan Counseling Services. Information about both options is listed below.

** NEW IN 2026!! **  Manatee YourChoice is excited to introduce Samaritan Counseling Services as a new mental wellbeing resource for employees and members enrolled in the YourChoice Health Plan. This enhanced benefit mirrors the structure of our in‑house LAMP program, offering the first five counseling sessions at no cost, followed by a $15 co‑pay per visit. Samaritan Counseling Services provides accessible, high‑quality support for a wide range of mental health needs and is available exclusively to employees and dependents covered under the YourChoice Health Plan. While LAMP remains available to all employees—including those not enrolled in the health plan—Samaritan Counseling Services expands access for health plan members, ensuring more options for compassionate, professional care when it’s needed most.
