Lucy is a Certified Professional in Human Resources, SHRM-CP, with approximately 27 years of experience aiding government agencies in the State of Florida, supporting Human Resources management, specifically in the administration of workers’ compensation, FMLA, ADA, and light duty programs. Lucy was also the FRS Retirement Coordinator for Hillsborough County Government coordinating and processing the employees’ retirement and health benefits prior coming to Manatee County Government.

 

Lucy started at Manatee County Government in November 2021 as the Benefits Leave Specialist with the project to centralize the FMLA at the Human Resources level. Lucy administers the Family Medical Leave for the BCC employees and coordinates the Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability Insurance as well as life insurance policies managed by Employee Health Benefits for enrolled members.

 

Lucy is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish.
